Hey folks,

Apologies for the absence!! Busy bee at the moment.
Just back from the Autumn/Winter 2011 shoe event in Milan.

This was just one hall!!! There was about 20 more!!!!

What a sight!

This place was the biggest thing I have ever seen.

Shoes as far as the eye can see & beyond. Quite an amazing experience...you have to be organised,ruthless & plan ahead so as not to get disorientated!!

On to the trends for AW2011...... well let me tell you...
First up...

Kitten heels and pointy toes are back ladies.

Continuing on from the ladylike trend this SS2011 the kitten heel is an
elegant contrast to the stiletto heel.
Red is big in the colour stakes and its polar opposite; understated nudes will play a huge part again next season.

Punk Rock

Military remains another key trend played along side Punk.

Ankle boots with lace ups, studding and spikes!!

Lace up ankle boots with platform and chunky heels.
If you invested in this style last season (like me) you'll be a happy fashionista!

Fur

Love it or hate it this trend is huge for AW2011.

Heels are higher & chunky for Winter;

Let it Snow!!!

Hi Everyone,

Oh how I do love snow but are anyone's toes freezing off??? I've been trying the two pairs of socks technique but it was still not working for me. So when I put my new pair of EMU boots on..... well lets just say I found my saviour!! OMG (I don't use that phrase often but it is necessary here)!!!

It was like putting my feet into a fluffy warm cloud!

The boots are made from 100% sheepskin which naturally keeps you dry....the only 100% water resistant sheepskin boot out there and with merino wool lining my toes they were unbelievably toasty. This combination means they keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer so these bad boys can be worn year round!

They are also the best good looking sheepskin boots, at least I think so....

They are cheaper than Ugg's and much more durable. I'm rambling now but I just can't believe how cosy they are. I've been an owner of Ugg's and there is really no comparasion. EMU RULE!!

I've always had a peeptoe black pair but now there are so many different ones.....and I want them all!! :)

Buying SS2011 Handbags in London

Hey everyone thought I'll let you in on the inside scoop for SS2011 collection in handbags.

While in London we had appointments with Guess and Coccinelle.
It was so much fun being able to pick your favourite ones; its like a every girls dream. I think this is the job all women should have!! At least that's my opinion (a bag/shoe obsessed girl) :)

Guess have really improved their designs and finishings to high standards and this definately applies for SS2011. Stud embellishings, metal hardware and new logo designs all feature heavily in the new collection.

Neutral tones are big next year with blues, creams, pinks yellow and coral tones also popping into the guess colour chart!

Every shape imaginable is available too from crossbody's to satchels messanger bags to totes. A style to suit all shapes and sizes. I love this pink crossbody with pull-string closure. A great everyday casual bag!

Next up was Coccinelle .......ah this was my heaven!!!

I love the design and quality of these Italian made luxury bags. Beautiful neutral tones here again but they also had a magnificant burnt orange and denim blue colour to add to the mix. Messangers, crossbodys and large hobo styles are the trend here.

My personal favourite this burnt orange box bag with crossbody shoulder strap.Fab!!

Just back from my buying experience in London, and some experience it was let me tell you.
Physically exhausted from trying on shoes and posing with luxurious bags. Its a hard job but someone's got to do it!!! Anyone feeling sorry for me???

I thought not...but it truly was a great time and I feel we bought great brands and styles to suit everyone.

"Come on" I hear you saying, "give us the inside scoop"?? Okay here it is........

Wedges will still be a huge summer stable; thank god. I just love this style so comfortable and trendy.

Take these Thierry Rabotin wedges for example...my personal favourite. These shoes are made with such care and detail. Its lovely to see traditional shoemaking is still alive.

From our buying experience with Vic we found that greys and neutrals are taking pride of place on the shelves too. Kitten heels, wedges and flats all playing a big part for SS2011.

Helping us choose our colours was the lovely Garry....decisions decisions!!!

With Fly London we got beautiful styles all with the rubber wedge which just feels like air when walking and yet this year I think they really stepped up the style. http://www.flylondon.com/

One's I'll be bagging for myself are these wedge lace ups. Very hip, paired with jeans for a casual summer style.

These gladiator wedges will be a welcomed come back too I think. The gladiator trend will continue next year ladies so those of you who invested will be pleased that you can take them back out :)

These flats are incredibily stylish too in tan and green with a multi strapped cross over.
I can see a huge credit card debt in the future!!

Hey haven't posted in a bit, I've been doing some research on the trends for this A/W.

Clogs are definately continuing for next season so invest in a good pair that will see you through summer and winter. These are perfect for now and A/W with their fur line and stud detail.

The 'Winter Wegde' is also going to be a key piece. Great news here i think as they give height without the pain! Wegdes and platforms are great to elongate legs too!!

Red is tipped to be HOT this A/W seen in boots, sandals and bags.

We're taking a trip back to 80's luxe with leather, velvet, fur and wool all making a come back. This has me thinking back to the denim jackets with the fur line but this trend is completely updated like this Burberry Prorsum sheep wool jacket with leather straps....pure luxury!! I'm in love!!!

Speaking of pure...I'm heading to fabulous London for the tradeshow "Pure" in Kensington, on the August bank holiday to buy for next year. So i'll be able to give you all a heads up as to the fashion trends for next year!!!

So.... I think you either love or hate this trend!!

Me ...I'm a lover :)
Metallic is everywhere this summer from bags to shoes to clothes. The good thing about it is it goes with everything!!! Well almost everything , you definitely don't want to overdo it in this trend.

Keep it simple. ( As seen here with Jennifer Aniston ) Accessories to a minimal and don't add more trends to the mix.

If you have metallic shoes pair with skinny's or jeggings and a white tee for day casual cool. For night add glamour to a maxi dress.
